Sandy is tossing pasta

Profile:

Hello and welcome! My name is Sandy, a wife and mother by day, and a pan flipping master by night! When I’m not working, I devote my time to learning and experimenting with new recipes. I am fascinated and exhilarated at the thought of all the wonderful new foods and ingredients that I haven’t yet had the pleasure to eat and work with. There is always a new and scrumptious project brewing at my house. This is my obsession. My FOOD OBSESSION!

My Journey:

My culinary journey began in 2003 after I enrolled in the Asian Culinary and Culinary Arts (Western/French cuisine) programs at VCC Culinary School in Vancouver, BC. Over the past sixteen years of chopping, sizzling, braising and sautéing, my passion for all things culinary has only intensified. You could say I fell into this profession by accident; I once imagined myself as a high school math teacher. But as life unfolds itself in a funny way, I became a Red Seal Chef. Looking back on my incredible journey, I feel completely blessed to be doing what I love, and to be able to share this passion with as many people as possible. Even after sixteen years in this industry, I continue to learn on a daily basis: I believe that the learning never stops. There are still so many amazing, untasted foods calling out to me… You can call me a food nerd if you like – I don’t mind.

Purpose of This Blog:

Food is my hobby, and I’ve created this blog as a medium to share what I have learned as a professional chef and fellow food enthusiast. Every recipe on my site has been tried, tested and perfected: I hope you love them. The collection of recipes are ranked according to difficulty. I would be honoured if you could let me know what you think by commenting and rating any recipes you try!
